We go where the spritz is, we order the same thing, and we score it separately before we talk. Sometimes we agree. Mostly we don't. Everything here is what we actually thought, in a glass we actually paid for.
The crew
Who are we? Three women who'd like to keep drinking in this town. So the scores are signed with our drink orders, not our names — that way we can be honest about yours.
The Purist
Orders the classic and dares it to disappoint her.
The Interrogator
Reads the whole menu, then asks what the bartender would drink.
The Olive Branch
Will forgive a lot for the right glass and a good olive.
How we score
- We score before we talk
- Three phones, three numbers, face down. Talking first is how three people end up with one opinion.
- We buy our own
- If a place ever comps us anything, it says so at the top of the review. Every time, whether the review is kind or not.
- We're rating the drink, not the people
- A slow bar on a Saturday is a busy bar. We'll tell you if the spritz was flat. We won't tell you the staff were.
